Worship at Calvary: July 5

As the church continues to re-gather, the church has taken several measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, including removing chairs and rearranging the remaining chairs for distancing. We have hand sanitizer and masks available, and the windows in the sanctuary will remain open during our services to increase ventilation.  We also have modified our service order and will be singing for a shorter amount of time, and we have moved all of our singing together to the end. (To read more about why we have taken these measures, you may read the article at this link.) As always, though, we will still pray together, sing together, and listen to God’s Word being preached together.

This is our order of worship for Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Calvary Community Church: (Click on the highlighted song titles to listen, or enjoy our Spotify playlist.)

Since we will not be printing the worship guide, I have modified the format to make it more tablet/phone friendly. You can download it here:

WELCOME & CALL TO WORSHIP

Psalm 145:10-13
All your works praise you, Lord;
your faithful people extol you.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom
    and speak of your might,
so that all people may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
    and your dominion endures through all generations.

QUIET PREPARATION

Habakkuk 3:2
Lord, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
Repeat them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.

HEARING FROM GOD’S WORD
