Worship Notes: This is our order of worship from Sunday, July 12, 2015. The scripture reading from Revelation led us into the first song. Then the reading from Psalms directed our thoughts to dwelling in the shelter of the House of the Lord. I introduced a new song as our closing song this week. It’s a song I had been looking at and it tied into the main scripture of the morning (John 4). Click on highlighted song titles for the post about that song.
Call to Worship:
Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come and worship you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.
Revelation 15:3-4 (ESV)
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:4, 5
Draw Me Close to You
