Our songs flowed from Psalm 36, and the sermon text, which was John 1:19-34. Here’s our worship order from Sunday, May 3, 2015 (click on song titles to listen):
Call to Worship:
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;
your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast you save, O Lord.
How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light do we see light.
Psalm 36:5-9 (ESV)
Come Thou Fount
come Thou fount of every blessing…
Praise the Father Praise the Son
…under Your wings I will abide…
…now peace like water ever flows…
…Lamb of God…
My Worth is Not In What I Own
…wellspring of my soul…
…my ransom paid at the cross
Our pastor continued preaching in the gospel of John. The sermon was titled “Behold the Lamb of God” based on John 1:19-34.
Worship at the Lord’s Table:
