Worship at Calvary: March 24

Here’s the order of worship for Sunday, March 24, 2013 — Palm Sunday. (Click on highlighted titles to listen.)

Call to Worship: John 12:12-15

The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.  So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written,

  “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!”

All Glory, Laud, and Honor
“You Are My King”

Congregational Scripture Reading:
Save us, we pray, O Lord!
    O Lord, we pray, give us success!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
    We bless you from the house of the Lord.
You are my God, and I will give thanks to you;
    you are my God; I will extol you.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    for his steadfast love endures forever!       ~Psalm 118: 25-26, 28-29

“Hosanna! (Praise is Rising)”
Agnus Dei

I can’t believe it’s Palm Sunday already! We still have snow on the ground and it’s freezing outside. Spring has to get here some time I guess.

  1. Dear Sharon–thank you for taking the extra time io post this–it is good any time but especially on the sundays when I have to work- I can read and listen to this and listen to James message and feel I have missed only the hugs and sharing of my church family–I so appreciate your sharing of your talents–In Him–Louise Date: Sat, 23 Mar 2013 14:12:41 +0000 To: lsage3@hotmail.com
